About Mazima Community Development Initiative
Mazima Community Development Initiatives is a non-profit vocational training institution dedicated to empowering youth and women through hands-on skills in Hairdressing, Beauty, ICT, Agriculture, and Entrepreneurship. Our goal is to promote self-reliance, employability, and community transformation through quality practical education.
MAZIMA is a child-centered organization that believes in equality, respect for human rights, and support for the most vulnerable communities. We believe that if the vulnerable children, youth, and young women are empowered, and their full potential is utilized, it will result in socio-economic development. We are currently operating in Eastern Uganda, in Busoga District, which is one of the most deprived areas of the country. We have hopes of expanding to other parts of the country at a later stage.
Fighting poverty through transparency and efficiency. Our goal is to empower people, especially marginalized and vulnerable children in Uganda, by providing the resources to improve their lives and the chance to grow into young adults, parents, and leaders who foster lasting, positive change for self-sufficient and thriving communities. We achieve these objectives by motivating local communities to participate in the projects we support and working with our partner organizations to help their communities build a better, brighter future.
