Job summary
SAJIDA Foundation is expanding its international operations into Uganda. This role will lead the expansion by building strategic partnerships, identifying collaboration opportunities, and converting them into a funded portfolio of work.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Track and analyze Uganda’s development priorities, donor strategies, and emerging opportunities relevant to SAJIDA’s focus areas, and provide periodic briefings to SAJIDA leadership on sector trends and program opportunities.
- Identify strategic entry points where SAJIDA’s technical expertise can add value to ongoing or upcoming development initiatives in Uganda.
- Build and maintain relationships with international NGOs, donor agencies, and development networks operating in Uganda.
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities where SAJIDA can contribute as a technical or implementation partner.
- Support the development of concept notes, partnership proposals, and capability statements when relevant opportunities arise.
- Represent SAJIDA at sector coordination meetings, networking forums, conferences, and development events in Uganda.
- Promote SAJIDA’s technical capabilities, program experience, and institutional strengths to development partners.
- Master's degree in international development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 12–15 years of experience in program management, business development, or senior program roles in the development sector.
- Strong understanding of the Uganda development ecosystem.
- Excellent relationship management, program management, and networking skills.
