Job Summary

The PC is responsible for day-to-day planning, coordination, staff capacity building, monitoring and reporting of YGlobal Uganda program implementation. Additionally, the PC will oversee partners operations, ensure compliance with partnership agreement, donor and organization policies and procedures. He/she shall operate in Kiryandongo and Adjumani

Job Description/Requirements

Program Planning and Implementation

• Lead the planning, forecasting, and implementation of program activities to ensure timely and effective delivery in line with YGlobal objectives and donor requirements.

• Coordinate and oversee the integrated program approach, ensuring effective mainstreaming of psychosocial support, economic empowerment, disability inclusion,  and peacebuilding components.


Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

• Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy,  accountability, and learning across all program components.

• Maintain an updated participant database and ensure timely preparation of quality progress reports and documentation of results.


Partnerships, Coordination, and Advocacy

• Facilitate effective collaboration and communication with development partners,  government institutions, private sector actors, and implementing partners.

• Engage in relevant coordination forums and contribute to policy and advocacy initiatives related to post-conflict peacebuilding, reconciliation, and inclusive community development.

• Identify legal aid needs within the program and coordinate with relevant institutions for redress.


Capacity Building and Knowledge Management

• Support the development of training manuals and toolkits and facilitate capacity building workshops for staff, partners, and project participants.

• Promote organisational learning and knowledge sharing across teams and partners.


Financial and Administrative Support

• Contribute to annual budget planning, fundraising initiatives, and procurement processes to ensure compliance and alignment with project objectives.

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure sound financial management, transparency,  and accountability in program implementation



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a university degree in social sciences, project planning,  Business development, Peace Building and conflict study or a related field; a master’s degree is an added advantage. 

• At least five years’ work experience in program implementation in refugee and armed conflict contexts, program planning, performance management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building experience in national or international non-governmental organisations.

• Experience with implementing multi-donor programs.

• Experience in the management of dynamic staff

• Experience in managing sub-grants

• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Experience from refugees’ work environment is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of the main local languages spoken in the area of Kiryandongo and Adjumani  refugee settlement is an added advantage

Duty Station: Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement

Contract Length and Compensation: 12 months’ contract with the possibility of extension depending on both performance and availability of funding. Salary is between 3m to 6m UGX gross. This shall depend on experience and the previous/current applicant’s salary, subject to verification.
