Mobile Applications Development Specialist at NSSF

Job Description MAIN PURPOSE:The job holder will be responsible for the planning and development of automated application systems to support the business needs of the Fund.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Supporting the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)• Producing fully functional applications while writing clean code• Gathering specific requirements and suggesting solutions• Writing unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.• Designing interfaces to improve user experience.• Liaising with the product development team to plan new features.• Reviewing new and legacy applications to ensure that they meet quality standards.• Researching and suggesting new mobile products, applications, and protocols• Staying up to date with new technology trends EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.• Certification in Angular and/or mobile application development (is an added advantage). REQUIRED RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE:• At least 5 years of experience in developing production-ready mobile applications and at least 2 years of developing production-ready web applications.• At least 2 years of working in a DevOps-powered software development environment.KEY COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:• Advanced problem-solving tools and techniques.• Demonstrable knowledge in developing mobile and web applications.• Ability to translate system requirements into working applications/features.• Ability to collaborate with others.• Advanced data collection and analysis.
