Job Description:

MotorSpeed Courier is seeking detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountants to support our finance team in Uganda and Tanzania. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly account summaries.
• Assist with payroll processing, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns (e.g., taxes, NSSF, PAYE).
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
• Assist in budget tracking and variance analysis.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role (internship included).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) is an added advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and a willingness to learn.
