Finance Officer – Budgeting and Reporting

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• At least a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a busy organisation in a similar role.
  
• Possess at least level two or currently pursuing level three of a professional accounting body. Membership in ACCA or ICPAU is an added advantage.
  
• Possess proficiency in MS Dynamics (Business Central) and in any other accounting system in Microsoft Office Applications
  

• Ensure that all accountabilities for advanced funds are reviewed and updated in the accounting system.
  
• Reconcile intercompany and inter-program accounts and follow up for settlement of funds.
  
• Reconcile all General Ledger Accounts assigned to the function.
  
• Review department expenses, generate shared costs and prepare the related journal entries for input in the accounting system.
  
• Support in the annual budgeting and planning exercise.
  
• Support in preparation of monthly management reports.
  
• Support the ministry departments with budget realignments whenever required.
  
• Participate in the annual external audit.
