Job Description/Requirements

  • Manage the process of financial planning and budgeting for the Institution’s resources and prepare annual budget in liaison with the CEO.
  • Keep the Institution’s financial records, prepare periodic financial reports ensure compliance with the statutory and Industry stakeholders financial reporting requirements.
  • To ensure the institution has an effective liquidity management system and availability of funds to meet the institutions business needs and other obligations
  • To advise management on investment of the institutions financial resources in accordance with the investment policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Establish internal controls and procedures for the organization to safeguard the

Institution’s finances and assets.

  • Review the books of accounts and ensure that the financial management information System is established and applied at all levels of the Institution.
  • Undertake periodic supervision to review and examine the financial books and

Accounts of the branch offices to ensure that they are kept/maintained in line with

Standard accounting practices and the institutions accounting policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for coordination with the external auditors during the annual audits and coordination and implementation of management responses to the management letter.
  • Responsible for approval of payroll and timely payment of staff as well as remittance of staff statutory payments.
  • Ensure timely payment of all taxes and other statutory obligations of the company to the respective stakeholders in full compliance with the relevant laws in Uganda.
  • To manage performance of employees that directly report to him/her.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports to the CEO and statutory financial reports
  • Undertake any other duties that may be assigned to him/her by the CEO.
