Job Summary
The Field Support Technician is responsible for responding to support requests from facilities using the Signalytic S+ system. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware or connectivity issues, performing basic repairs, and supporting users on-site. The role requires a high level of reliability, technical skill, and comfort working independently in rural or low-resource settings.

Job Description/Requirements
Reports To: Field Coordinator
Location: Kampala, Uganda (with frequent travel to supported health facilities)
Key Responsibilities
Field Support Response
● Travel to client facilities to address support tickets as assigned
● Diagnose and resolve issues related to power, connectivity, or hardware configuration
● Communicate regularly with the Field Coordinator and escalate complex problems
Troubleshooting & Repair
● Use standard tools and checklists to evaluate and fix system issues
● Replace faulty components with approved spare parts
● Document repairs and interventions through logs, photos, and system updates
Client Interaction
● Represent Signalytic professionally during all site visits
● Provide users with clear updates and system usage support as needed
● Ensure client satisfaction with service provided before closing a ticket
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Certificate or diploma in a technical field (electrical, solar, telecom, IT, etc.)
● Hands-on experience with field repairs or technical support roles
● Basic knowledge of solar systems, wireless networks, or hardware systems
● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
● Willingness to travel frequently to rural locations
Preferred Experience
● Experience working in health facility settings or with health tech
● Use of digital tools for ticket tracking or repair documentation
● Familiarity with Android systems or connectivity diagnostics
Tools & Systems
● Odoo (ticketing and support logging)
● Multimeter, screwdriver set, replacement parts, Android tablet
● Gmail / Google Sheets (basic usage)
