Job descriptions & requirements
• Provide overall technical supervision for all electrical installation and commissioning works.
• Prepare and approve electrical designs, load calculations, and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ERA guidelines, UMEME standards, IEC codes, and national wiring regulations.
• Supervise installation of LV and MV systems, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution boards.
• Prepare project work plans, technical reports, and completion certificates.
• Conduct site inspections, quality assurance, and testing of installed systems.
• Verify and sign off on electrical test results such as insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and polarity tests.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers on-site.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies during inspections and commissioning.
• Prepare and review BOQs, material schedules, and procurement specifications.
• Support ERA permit compliance by ensuring proper documentation, safety records, and site logs are maintained.
• Lead risk assessment and ensure electrical safety measures are enforced.
• Train staff on safe work practices and compliance requirements.
