Role Description The Automotive Mechanic role at Kelpesh Auto is a full-time, on-site position based in Kampala. The mechanic will perform routine vehicle maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs on a wide range of vehicles. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying faults, replacing or repairing parts, and conducting test drives to ensure work quality and safety. The role also involves maintaining clean and organized workspaces, following safety and quality standards, and communicating clearly with service advisors and customers about repair needs and timelines. The mechanic will contribute to efficient workshop operations and support the company’s commitment to reliable service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, including regular servicing, inspections, and preventive care.
• Candidates should possess practical expertise in Automotive Repair and general Automotive systems, including engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components.
• Candidates should possess a focus on Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear language and provide courteous, professional service.
• Relevant technical training or certification in automotive mechanics or a related field is beneficial.
• Previous experience working in an automotive workshop or service center is an advantage.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, follow repair manuals, and adhere to safety procedures is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important.
