Job Summary
The Associate Software Engineer (Java Programmer) supports Neptune’s enterprise and mobile development initiatives by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. The role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals passionate about building scalable applications, APIs, and mobile solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.
Role Overview
The Associate Software Engineer contributes to the full software development lifecycle, working closely with senior engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance applications. They participate in backend development, mobile application development, API integration, and production support while continuously learning and adopting modern technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
- Build RESTful APIs and backend services
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter
Software Development Lifecycle
- Participate in SDLC activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Integration & Performance
- Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and payment platforms
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects
Continuous Improvement
- Support software deployment and production issue resolution
- Research and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
Experience
Recent graduate or up to 2 years of software development experience
