About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client EACOP , we are looking for a competent , skilled, and experienced DRIVER to work in Uganda.

Position: Driver

R eport s to: Logistics Coordinator

Interacts/Interfaces with:

Direct Indirect Logistics CoordinatorClient s/Customers Contract ManagerDistributors Logistics TeamBorder authorities Client Plant Security Weigh Bridge Team

Key Roles and responsibilities

Transport finished goods and raw materials (cement) over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centres Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with the transport and driving rules and as well as with all other Company policies and procedures for both Client Cement and True North Consult Maneuver trucks into loading or offloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Trip Advances

Key qualifications and competencies required :

Professional Qualification:

At least Ordinary Level Certificate or its equivalent and driving licence valid in Uganda and within the region

Professional experience

Proven driving experience of a minimum of 2 years on trucks of a payload capacity of > 15 metric tonne

Skills and other competencies

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). Basic mechanical skills Ability communicate in English orally and in writing Team Player Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Knowledge of Renault Automatic trucks No recent moving or driving violations
