HEALTHPARTNERS CONNECT GIRLS CENTER PROJECT
HealthPartners Connect Girls Center is a USAID-funded activity to sustainably increase access to care and improve health outcomes for cooperative members in Uganda and Kenya. This is a locally led development initiative with intermediate objectives to improve cooperative business performance; Improve the cooperative enabling environment; and increase the development community’s support to cooperatives. Our role is to build capacity and provide seed investments with support as partners learn to fill roles in local partnerships to meet their needs, even as those needs change over time. HealthPartners coordinates efforts with partners to strengthen the enabling environment for health cooperative development from village to district, national, and international levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct joint monitoring data-driven visits and provide real-time support to strengthen governance and member engagement activities in the field;
- Support improved coordination between members, providers, and cooperatives through capacity building and support supervision
- Develop, organize, and update tools for new Health Cooperative Board of Directors (BOD) training, annual general meetings (AGM) and audit preparation, quarterly BOD meetings, committee meetings
- Connect DCOs with cooperatives for audits and ongoing support.
- Participate in stakeholder and partner meetings
- Work closely with the provider relations team to identify and support providers ready for registration.
- Submit monthly reports documenting goals, activities, opportunities, and challenges.
- Document what has been tried, what works, what doesn’t, lessons learned, and recommendations to improve project impact each month.
- Contribute to team efforts; and activities; leading some district events and meetings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, particularly governance, public health, development studies
- Experience working with cooperative boards and/or governance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to review data and draw conclusions
- Experience training and measuring outcomes of training
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to recognize and address potential programmatic root and stem challenges.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary is commensurate with experience.

The TAG reports to the Deputy Program Manager.
