Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate production activities to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, including equipment, materials, and labor.
• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the production process.
• Implement and maintain production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive operational performance.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production personnel.
• Manage inventory levels, monitor material availability, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material supply.
• Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new products to the production line, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient ramp-ups.
• Monitor and control production costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize production operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using production management software and tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
