Job Summary
The child care supervisor provides overall leadership in the daily care,learning and wellbeing of children at Totsandhoppers daycare centre in Lweza. The role ensures a safe nurturing and stimulating environment, supervises caregivers, supports child develoment and serves as a key link between management, staff and parents

Job Description/Requirements
1. Child Care & Development
- Ensure the safety, protection, and wellbeing of all children at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning and play activities
- Monitor children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support children’s routines (feeding, toileting, rest, hygiene)
- Identify and respond to children with special needs or developmental concerns
2. Health, Safety & Safeguarding
- Enforce child safeguarding and protection policies
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained
- Respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or emergencies
- Ensure proper nutrition practices and meal supervision
3. Parent & Guardian Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents on children’s progress and wellbeing
- Address parent concerns professionally and confidentially
- Support parent meetings, open days, and feedback sessions
4. Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate attendance, learning, and incident records
- Prepare reports for centre management as required
- Support enrolment and transition of children between age groups
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD/ECE) or related field
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a daycare or early learning setting
- Previous experience supervising staff is an added advantage
