ROLE PURPOSE
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for acquiring, activating, and scaling revenue‑generating customers in line with YoguPay’s FY2026 strategy. The role focuses on corridor‑led growth, product adoption, and partner‑led distribution across YoguPay’s core products, including FX & Treasury, Wallet‑as‑a‑Service (WaaS), Virtual IBANs, Global Payouts, and Stablecoins offering (where applicable).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Market & Corridor Development
• Own priority trade and payment corridors relevant to Uganda.
• Identify and acquire high‑volume customers across import/export, fintech, PSPs, marketplaces, payroll, logistics, and travel sectors.
• Maintain a corridor‑focused pipeline aligned to revenue and TPV targets.
2. Revenue & Client Acquisition
• Manage the full commercial lifecycle from prospecting to activation.
• Close revenue‑generating deals across FX, payouts, collections, WaaS, vIBANs, and crypto rails.
• Work closely with the Treasury to align pricing, liquidity, and execution readiness.
3. Client Activation & Early Growth
• Ensure newly onboarded clients complete first transactions within agreed SLAs.
• Resolve activation blockers including pricing, compliance, or operational constraints.
• Support handover of activated accounts to Account Management or Treasury Sales.
4. Partnerships & Embedded Distribution
• Support partner‑led acquisition via ERP, payroll, marketplace, and PSP integrations.
• Participate in co‑selling initiatives with banks, fintechs, and SaaS platforms.
• Contribute to partnership proposals and pitch materials.
5. Internal Collaboration & Reporting
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Treasury teams.
• Maintain accurate CRM records including pipeline stage, expected TPV, product mix, and activation status.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance updates.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in fintech, payments, FX, banking, or treasury‑related sales.
• Experience selling B2B financial or API‑driven products is an advantage.
• Understanding of cross‑border payments and African/global trade corridors.
