NIFAED is an (NGO) Non-Governmental Organization with the objective of empowering communities to participate and take lead in their development processes for sustainable development through the use and promotion of the Reflection ACTION PROCESSES. NIFAED provides services in Mubende region through DREAMS Projects, with Support of Mild may Uganda.


NIFAED is seeking to recruit for the following positions.

  1. M & E Officer
  2. Human Resource Officer
  3. Skilled Artisan – Hairdressing
  4. Skilled Artisan – Tailoring
  5. ICT Teacher
  6. Inventory Management Officer
  7. Social Worker.


1. Post: M & E Officer

No. of Vacancies: 05

Reports to: Senior Programs Manager

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

To provide strategies leadership in development of strategic and operational action plans, monitoring & evaluation to reach the desired objectives of NIFAED. This is a management position and is responsible for policy and strategy development and provides guidance in the effective management, monitoring and evaluation of strategies and plans. This position supervises the Data Officer.

Qualifications, skills and experience.

A bachelor’s degree in either statistics, computer science, quantitative economics with post graduate qualification in M & E.

1-3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation and data management.

Proficiency in project implementation reporting, demonstrable experience in information systems, research, data analysis and quality assurance plus advanced computer skills in MS excel


2.  Post: Human Resource Officer

Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

The Human Resource Officer will provide administrative support in recruitment, payroll and benefits administration and in learning and development.

The officer supports the recruitment, onboarding, and exit of staff, learning and development, payroll and benefits administration including updating and implementation of the performance management system and employee relations.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration (SWSA) or Human Resources Management or related degree from a recognized University.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resource.
  • Prior counselling experience.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource principles, human rights and the law.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Good teaching and presentation skills.


3. Post: Skilled Artisan – Hairdressing

No. of Vacancies: 05

Reports to: Safe Space Social Worker

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

Artisan is responsible for offering training in hair care and hair styling lessons among other duties of the project and organization. The Artisan must possess required skills of professional training in arears of hair styling, hair plaiting of different types and skilled in management.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • Must have undergone a training in Hairdressing.
  • Knowledge of school at any level attained.
  • Customer care, listening, skills, physical, stamina, tidiness and time management.
  • Must be a good team player/leader, with required integrity, highly effective and efficient and willing to fit in the institutional culture.
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Good training skills.


4.  Post: Skilled Artisan – Tailoring

No. of Vacancies: 05

Reports to: Safe Space Social Worker

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

The Artisan is responsible for contributing significantly and regularly to the tailing teaching programs of the project and the entire organization.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • Must have undergone a training in tailoring.
  • Knowledge of school at any level attained
  • Must have a steady hand, pays attention to detail with a thorough knowledge of fabrics and design.
  • Good eyesight and pattern-cutting skills
  • A good team player/leader willing to fit in the institutional culture.
  • At least 1-2 years experience in a similar position.
  • Good training skills.


5. Post: ICT Teacher

No. of Vacancies: 05

Reports to: Data Officer

Nature of contract:Full time

Duty station: Mubende (model Safe Space)

We are searching for an enthusiastic computer teacher to promote computer literacy among our target group (AGYWS). To ensure success, as a computer teacher, you should demonstrate flexibility and support as you help the AGYWS develop confidence and will also make a concerted effort to acclimatize students with no prior exposure to computers.

Qualifications, skills, and experience.

  • Minimum diploma in ICT
  • 6 months and above working experience
  • Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students’ acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills.
  • Tracking and communicating students’ advancement throughout the course.
  • Teamwork, basic computer maintenance, leadership skills ability to coordinate, email and internet, team leadership, communication problem-solving.


6. Post: Inventory Management Officer

No. of Vacancies: 05

Reports to: Finance Manager

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

To receive, issue, and record stores in the Organization.

Qualifications, Skills, and experience

  • A diploma or degree in-store/supplies management or procurement or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Records and information management, planning, organizing, and coordinating.
  • Accountability, concern for quality and standards, ethics and integrity, public relations, and customer care.
  • At least 1-year experience in a similar position.


7. Post: Social worker

No. of Vacancies: 10

Reports to: Project Manager

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

To provide administrative support for the implementation of the DREAMS project through planning and acquisition of all project resources, equipment and materials required to ensure that the AGYW receives a primary package and secondary/contextual services that will empower the AGYW to be determined, resilient, AIDs free, mentored and safe.

To provide support to ensure that there is a complete documentation of program results



8. Post: Project Manager-Public Health.

No. of Vacancies: 01

Reports to:  Executive Director

Nature of contract: Full time

Duty station: Mubende

The Public Health Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating disease prevention and health promotion activities in the community. Conducts disease surveillance activities and provides technical supervision to health facility staff in the areas of HIV/AIDs, WASH, nutrition, and family planning.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or equivalent is preferred.
  • Considered registration with the Allied Health professionals council is required.
  • Experience working with NGOs is an added advantage.
  • Skilled in developing relations to strengthen social support networks and using behavior change strategies to mobile community members to take ownership of healthcare needs.
  • Skilled in data analysis and writing reports and Microsoft word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
  • Keen interest to mentor others.
  • Ability to exercise considerable initiative to plan, organize and follow through to meet deadlines.
