Technical Services Supervisor
Job summary
The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of all lodge infrastructure, ensuring that the guest experience remains uninterrupted by technical failures. Power generation, water treatment, structural integrity, and vehicle maintenance—within a sensitive rainforest ecosystem.
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Infrastructure Management: Maintaining off-grid hybrid power systems (Solar & Generator), water purification (RO systems), and waste-water management (biodigesters) to 5-star standards.
2. Preventive Maintenance: Designing and executing rigorous maintenance schedules for all guest tents, kitchen equipment, laundry facilities, and the lodge fleet to prevent "emergency" repairs.
3. Sustainability & Compliance: Ensuring the lodge operates with a minimal environmental footprint by managing waste disposal, energy efficiency, and adhering to Uganda’s health and safety (OHS) regulations.
4. Leadership & Mentorship: Leading a multi-disciplinary team of artisans (plumbers, electricians, carpenters) under the "Each 1 Teach 1" philosophy, fostering a culture of pride, safety, and technical excellence.
5. Project Oversight: Managing small-scale construction or renovation projects and maintaining a lean, efficient inventory of critical spares to mitigate the challenges of the lodge’s remote location.
