  • Develop marketing strategies and plans focused on promoting Zenka’s loan applications in Kenya and Uganda, including seasonal campaigns, retargeting strategies, and offline campaigns, while coordinating with the sales department to maximise leads. 
  • Analyse market trends, user behaviour, and competitor activity in the digital lending sector, including loan preferences, iOS vs Android usage, app metrics, user feedback, and social media sentiment, to optimise campaigns and improve marketing outcomes. 
  • Oversee and manage digital marketing campaigns targeting Android and iOS users, including SEO, ASO, content marketing, video campaigns on TikTok, SMS campaigns, push notifications, and social media posts, ensuring app user engagement, education on responsible borrowing, and loan conversions. 
  • Coordinate with compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure all campaigns, marketing materials, and advertising (including Google/TikTok policies and CBK regulations) comply with financial regulations. 
  • Build brand awareness and manage partnerships by collaborating with influencers, advertising agencies, local companies, and the media, and by overseeing referral programs for app users. 
  • Manage the marketing team by motivating them for innovative approaches, setting KPI goals, and collaborating with designers, agencies, and internal stakeholders to execute campaigns effectively. 
  • Manage customer engagement initiatives and communications through the Zowie chatbot, social media monitoring, SMS campaigns, push notifications, and monitoring comments and feedback, while collecting case studies and responding to reputation crises. 
  • Develop and manage marketing content including banners, graphics, blog posts, social media posts, and other advertising materials, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and campaign objectives. 
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance by analysing app metrics, Google Analytics data, campaign effectiveness, referral program results, and other key indicators, and providing regular updates to the CMO. 
  • Manage advertising and media activities, including negotiating rates for ads and services, overseeing production of advertisements, and managing radio and TV campaigns.
