Key Responsibilities:
1) Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for industrial machinery and infrastructure.
2) Supervise installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
3) Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain safety.
4) Plan preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with industry standards.
5) Coordinate with other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems into overall plant operations.
6) Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
7) Manage energy consumption and work on cost-saving initiatives.
8) Prepare technical reports, documentation, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
9) Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff.
Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2) Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
3) Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, and power distribution.
4) Experience with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical safety standards.
5) Proficient in using electrical design software and tools.
6) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7) Willingness to relocate and work in Uganda.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in FMCG, power plants, or heavy manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of international electrical codes and standards
