Reports To: Unit Manager / Branch Manager
Location: Kampala
Job Purpose
To generate new business by selling life insurance products and services, building strong client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction in line with ICEA LION’s goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and prospect potential clients through networking, referrals, cold calling, and field visits.
2. Present and promote ICEA LION life insurance products to individuals, families, and corporate clients.
3. Conduct financial needs analysis and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
4. Achieve assigned sales targets and performance indicators.
5. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and sales activities.
6. Follow up on leads and ensure timely closure of sales.
7. Provide after-sales service and maintain long-term client relationships.
8. Assist clients with policy documentation and ensure compliance with underwriting requirements.
9. Stay informed about company products, industry trends, and competitor activities.
10. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and company events
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance (added advantage).
- Previous sales experience (insurance/financial services preferred).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
