Role Summary
We are hiring a Sales Executive with prior experience in selling software solutions. The candidate must have basic accounting knowledge and the ability to sell accounting and business management software to SMEs and retail businesses.
This is a target-driven role focused on lead generation, product demonstrations, and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads through field visits, networking, and referrals
- Conduct product demonstrations (Accounting, Inventory, POS software)
- Convert leads into confirmed sales
- Achieve monthly sales targets
- Maintain proper follow-ups and update CRM
- Coordinate with implementation/support teams after closing
Required Profile
- 2+ years experience in Software Sales (ERP / Accounting / POS preferred)
- Basic accounting knowledge (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, VAT)
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and target-oriented
- Comfortable with field sales
Preferred
- Experience selling accounting software
- Knowledge of Uganda tax environment / EFRIS
- Existing SME client network
Compensation
- Salary: UGX 500,000 to UGX 1,000,000 Gross Fixed
- Sales Incentive: 5% on Software Sales + Additional Incentive on achieving monthly target.
Reporting
Reports directly to Sales Manager / Director
Only candidates with proven software sales experience should be shortlisted. FMCG or general product sales profiles are not suitable.
