Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and sell the company’s product portfolio (seeds, fertilizers, crop protection products, and other agro-inputs) to farmers, cooperatives, and agri-dealers.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop sales plans to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, distributors, and retailers.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collect and relay market intelligence on competitor products, prices, and trends.
Agronomic Support & Extension
  • Provide technical advice to farmers on crop management, soil fertility, pest control, and best agronomic practices.
  • Plan and execute field demonstrations, farmer trainings, and agronomic field days to showcase company products and technologies.
  • Support farmers with on-site problem-solving and product usage guidance.
  • Collaborate with research and technical teams to collect field data and feedback on product performance.
Reporting & Administration
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales and field activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, product deliveries, and demonstration results.
  • Participate in agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and other marketing events on behalf of the company.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of field experience in agricultural input sales, extension services,or agronomy advisory.
  • Strong agronomic knowledge across major Ugandan crops (maize, beans, coffee, rice, horticulture, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and build customer relationships.
