Quality Control Manager

Microhaem — the first 4th-generation IVD manufacturing plant in Africa — is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to ensure that all MHS products and processes adhere to quality standards. This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong technical depth in medical device quality control with proven experience running an ISO 13485/ISO 17025-aligned QC system, overseeing release testing, stability programs, method transfers, and validations, and upholding our commitment to manufacture safe and effective medical devices.
Tasks
- Develop and implement rigorous quality control protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all laboratory processes.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of the quality control team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance the reliability and accuracy of diagnostic results.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of laboratory processes and equipment to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on quality control activities, findings, and recommendations for continuous improvement to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the medical and diagnostic laboratory industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to medical laboratories.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
