Position Overview
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing agricultural products, particularly coffee, while maintaining strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Business Administration.
- Basic training in coffee quality assessment and grading is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
- Experience sourcing agricultural products, preferably coffee.
- Familiarity with working with farmers, farmer groups, and cooperatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and farmer groups.
- Evaluate product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
- Monitor market trends and pricing.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
