The Operations Manager at GS Construction oversees daily construction operations to ensure efficient workflow, quality control, and project execution. This role involves managing teams, optimizing resources, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. The Operations Manager works closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless execution of construction projects while driving productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee daily construction operations to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards
• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Streamline procurement and supply chain processes for timely deliveries.
• Ensure strict adherence to construction regulations, safety policies, and environmental standards.
• Conduct inspections and risk assessments to prevent site hazards.
• Monitor costs, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with finance teams to manage operational budgets effectively.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, and suppliers for seamless collaboration.
• Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, resolving conflicts when needed.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance productivity.
• Address operational challenges proactively to minimize delays or disruptions
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 18+ years of experience in construction management or related field
- Proven experience in construction project management and operational leadership.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques
• Process Optimization – Identifying areas of improvement and applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other efficiency methodologies.
• Supply Chain Management – Overseeing inventory, logistics, and procurement strategies to keep operations seamless.
Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to lead operation teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Financial Management – Budgeting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting to keep operations financially sound
• Compliance & Risk Management – Understanding regulatory requirements and mitigating risks in areas like safety, data security, and business ethics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for stakeholder coordination.
Reporting Structure:
The operation manager will report directly to the General manager and collaborate closely with site and office engineers, architects, operator and other members of the company’s team.
