Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain reliable network infrastructure supporting enterprise and telecommunications services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring network performance, availability, and security across core, access, and edge network environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in telecommunications, ISP, or large enterprise network environments, with strong technical expertise in routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise and service provider network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Support implementation of LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
• Assist in network capacity planning and performance optimization.

Network Operations & Support

• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network faults and connectivity issues.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and maintenance on network systems.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Collaboration & Projects

• Support network infrastructure for new projects, system integrations, and service deployments.
• Collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, and telecom teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers during deployments and troubleshooting.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network operations.
• Strong experience with routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
• Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in service provider or telecom environments.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).
• Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network operations.
