Manager Cyber Security
Job descriptions & requirements
Oversees cybersecurity operations, including: team leadership, incident response, policy development, risk management and security operations.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related area from a recognized University
- Master’s Degree in an IT related area (Desirable)
- Five (5) years’ experience in managing design, development and delivery cybersecurity operations in a large financial institution or a reputable organization of which 3 years must have been at leadership position experience is an added advantage
Required Experience and Competences:
- Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans
- Ability to understand and assess technology systems and applications from both a technical and business function perspective
- Understanding of information security principles and best practices (e.g., ISO27001/2022, COBIT, NIST, PCI DSS and ISF Standards of Good Practice for Information Security).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyse security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls
- Knowledge of industry best practices regarding digitalization and automation of banking services.
- Knowledge and experience of UNIX Operating Systems, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Virtualization technologies, Intrusion Prevention & Detection systems and advanced enterprise networks (LANs & WANs)
