Role Description The Life Insurance Agent role at Prudential Uganda is a full-time position based in Kampala with a hybrid work arrangement, combining office-based activities with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and engaging potential clients, assessing their financial protection needs, and recommending suitable life insurance products. The agent will conduct policy presentations, explain coverage options, prepare quotations, and assist clients through the application and underwriting process. Ongoing tasks involve managing a portfolio of clients, providing responsive customer service, handling policy inquiries, and supporting claims-related guidance. The role also includes meeting sales targets, maintaining accurate records, participating in training and team meetings, and upholding Prudential’s standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage to identify client needs, present solutions, and close business effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid understanding of Insurance products and principles to explain policy features, benefits, and conditions clearly and accurately.
- Candidates should possess Finance-related knowledge to discuss basic financial planning concepts and align insurance solutions with clients’ long-term goals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Relevant experience in life insurance, financial services, or sales is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and digital tools used for client management and reporting.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage; professional insurance certifications are a plus.
