Legal Officer

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

• Valid High Court of Uganda practicing certificate.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in active legal practice, combining reputable law firm work or in-house counsel experience in a financial institution or large reputable organisation.

Knowledge, Experiences, Competencies

• Familiarity with Banking, Finance, and Insurance Laws; exposure to industry best practice.

• Strong legal drafting, research, analytical, and advisory skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and reporting ability.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet due dates.

• High attention to detail, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

• Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and uphold the Bank’s mission and values.
