IT Technician
Job summary
Manage and support IT systems, networks, and user services, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance while providing technical support, maintenance, training, and coordination with vendors.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and network devices
- Provide first-level technical support to users (troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues)
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and antivirus management
- Diagnose and repair faulty equipment and replace damaged components
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights
- Ensure data security, integrity, and confidentiality of IT systems
- Maintain IT inventory and proper documentation of systems and repairs
- Assist in setting up new workstations and onboarding new staff
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and services
- Support servers, email systems, and basic cloud services where applicable
- Train users on basic IT operations and best practices
- Respond promptly to IT incidents and service requests
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
- Support CCTV, biometric, and access control systems
- Assist with website or database maintenance
- Provide basic cybersecurity monitoring and awareness
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
