Role Description The Head of Operations at Beyond Logistics Ltd is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala, responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics and operational activities. This role leads operations teams, sets performance targets, and ensures that service delivery meets agreed quality, efficiency, and compliance standards. The Head of Operations manages operational planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to support scalable and reliable 3PL services.

Key responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, analyzing operational data, managing budgets, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves close collaboration with senior leadership and clients to address operational issues, support strategic projects, and maintain strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5–10 years in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations leadership
• Strong operational experience in:
• FMCG distribution and delivery operations
• Warehouse operations & Transport coordination
• Strong practical use of: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) & Distribution/Logistics ERPs & Operational reporting systems
• Experience implementing operational controls and standardisation in structured environments

Education

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field

Additional / Desirable Qualifications

• Lean / Six Sigma certification
• Exposure to pharmaceutical or regulated logistics environments
• ERP/WMS /Automation implementation experience
• HSE or Quality Management certification
