Role Overview
The Groups Impact Manager will lead the development, strengthening, and expansion of savings groups to support financial inclusion and community growth. The role focuses on onboarding new groups, building strong group structures, empowering women, and aligning group activities with the organization’s commercial and development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
● Identify, recruit, and onboard new savings groups
● Build and maintain a strong pipeline of groups to support sales activities
● Strengthen groups through training, mentorship, and structured capacity-building programs
● Integrate group methodologies in collaboration with partners
● Identify, develop, and manage partnerships that benefit group growth and sustainability
● Design and implement women’s empowerment programs within groups and communities
● Support groups in compliance, governance, and growth of savings and income- generating activities
● Monitor and drive the achievement of group onboarding and strengthening targets
● Champion the development of a comprehensive and up-to-date groups database
● Promote and support increased participation and leadership of women within groups
● Work closely with the Sales and Extension Manager to identify expansion areas and align on targets
● Build and maintain strong relationships with farmer groups, partners, and community stakeholders
● Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Success in this role will be measured by:
● Number and quality of groups onboarded and strengthened
● Growth in group savings and income-generating activities
● Increased participation and leadership of women in group activities
Qualifications and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
● Proven track record in setting up, onboarding, and managing savings groups or community-based programs
● Experience in group training, community mobilization, or rural development
● Ability to ride a motorcycle and willingness to relocate
● Fluency in Luganda and ability to engage effectively with local communities
