Job summary
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee a leading shopping centre in Seychelles. The job requires leadership, financial discipline, and the ability to manage tenants, service providers, and government stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure occupancy levels, drive revenue growth, and maintain operational excellence.
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities.
1. Commercial & Financial Management.
* Manage annual budgets and service charge estimates.
* Monitor rent collection and enforce lease compliance.
* Drive occupancy and reduce void periods.
* Control operational costs while maintaining service standards.
* Submit financial and performance reports to ownership/board.
2. Tenant & Lease Management.
* Build relationships with tenants and anchor brands.
* Handle tenant negotiations, renewals, arrears follow-ups, and dispute resolution.
* Ensure compliance with lease terms and centre regulations.
* Work closely with leasing agents to get the tenant mix.
3. Operations & Facilities Oversight.
* Supervise security, cleaning, maintenance, and parking service providers.
* Ensure utilities management (power, water, generator systems).
* Oversee maintenance and asset protection.
* Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and other statutory requirements.
* Manage emergency preparedness and risk mitigation plans.
4. Marketing & Footfall Growth.
* Oversee centre marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic.
* Support promotions and community engagement activities.
* Monitor customer. Implement service improvements.
5. Administration.
*Supervise centre management staff.
* Set KPIs. Conduct performance evaluations.
* Ensure record-keeping, contract management, and reporting.
* Maintain relationships with authorities and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Finance, or related field.
* At least 5 years’ experience in shopping centre, retail, or commercial property management.
* Strong financial rent collection experience.
* Experience dealing with government agencies and regulatory compliance.
* Proven Negotiation skills.
