Fresh Produce Business Development Officer

Job Description:
As the Fresh Produce Business Development Officer at our organization, you will play a
crucial role in expanding our market reach and ensuring a steady off take of fresh
produce from our aquaponics and hydroponics urban farming systems. You will be
responsible for identifying target markets, establishing off-take contracts, negotiating
prices with buyers, and fostering long-term relationships to drive growth and
sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop a sales strategy and identify and prioritize target markets for fresh
produce distribution.
● Monitor market trends and competitor activities to capitalize on opportunities.
● Develop and maintain off-take contracts with key buyers and distributors.
● Manage existing accounts and build strong, long-term relationships with
customers by ensuring timely deliveries, quality supply to meet customers
requirements, and addressing customers' concerns.
● Coordinate with production teams to ensure steady supply for sales
commitment.
● Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
Requirements
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, AgriBusiness, Commerce, or
related field.
● 3-5 years experience in account management, sales, or business development,
preferably with agricultural products and or food products.
● Strong negotiation and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Knowledge of aquaponics/hydroponics systems and organic farming is a plus.
● Passion for sustainability, urban agriculture, healthy food.
