Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role for Financial Advisors based in Kampala, with a combination of on-site client meetings and some work-from-home flexibility. Financial Advisors will engage clients to understand their financial goals, assess current financial situations, and develop tailored financial plans. Day-to-day tasks include advising on savings, investments, retirement planning, and risk management solutions, and explaining ICEA LION’s insurance and financial products clearly and accurately. The role involves regular client follow-ups, maintaining accurate records, monitoring portfolio performance, and adjusting advice as needed. Financial Advisors will also participate in business development activities such as prospecting, networking, and client education sessions to grow their portfolio.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory to develop and implement tailored client strategies.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance and Investments to analyze options and recommend suitable products.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Retirement Planning to help clients build and protect long-term wealth.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts clearly and build lasting client relationships.
• Candidates should possess strong ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to customer-focused service.
• Candidates should possess basic analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
• A diploma or degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field is beneficial; relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
• Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or advisory roles is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.
