Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Kampala. The Salesperson will promote StrongMinds Uganda’s services and programs to potential partners, donors, and community stakeholders, building relationships that expand awareness and participation. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and pursuing new leads, conducting outreach visits and presentations, explaining program offerings clearly, and following up to convert interest into concrete engagements. The role involves maintaining accurate records of interactions, preparing basic sales and outreach reports, coordinating with program teams to understand current services, and providing feedback from the field to improve future initiatives. The Salesperson will work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent messaging, ethical representation of services, and alignment with StrongMinds Uganda’s mission and values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in sales, outreach, or community engagement, preferably in nonprofit, healthcare, or social services contexts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information clearly, listen actively, and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Basic proficiency with office and productivity tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and the ability to maintain organized records of contacts and activities.
- Proven ability to work on-site in Kampala, travel locally as needed, and manage time effectively to meet outreach and sales targets.
- Knowledge of the Ugandan context and local languages is an advantage, along with a genuine interest in mental health and community wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven, inclusive environment, showing reliability, accountability, and respect for confidentiality
