Farm Operations Coordinator (Accountability & Oversight)
Job summary
This is not a traditional secretary role. You will enforce farm systems, verify data accuracy, and ensure workers follow procedures. This role combines remote oversight with farm visits and requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and problem detection.

This is a high-responsibility role focused on enforcing systems, verifying farm data, and maintaining operational discipline.
You will act as the accountability layer between management and farm workers, ensuring that all activities are properly recorded, verified, and executed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure caretaker submits required daily forms (herd updates, treatments, births, deaths, sales, purchases)
- Follow up immediately on missing or incorrect information
- Verify that farm data reflects real conditions (goat counts, tags, treatments, events)
- Identify inconsistencies and investigate discrepancies
- Conduct 2–4 farm visits per month to:
1. confirm herd numbers
2. inspect animal health
3. check pen cleanliness and environment
4. assess feed and water availability
5. identify infrastructure issues
6. monitor worker performance
- Act as communication hub between caretaker, helper, vet, and management
- Escalate issues immediately (sick animals, deaths, shortages, damage, worker issues)
- Ensure vet visits occur and treatments are properly recorded
- Verify financial processes are followed (approved purchases, receipts, sales tracking)
- Capture photo documentation during visits:
1. herd overview
2. sick animals
3. pen conditions
4. infrastructure issues
Daily Work (Remote – 30 to 60 minutes):
- Review system submissions
- Check for missing or suspicious data
- Follow up with caretaker
- Monitor alerts
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of discipline and reliability
- Ability to hold workers accountable professionally
- Comfortable using smartphones and basic digital tools
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to travel to the farm when required
Education is less important than reliability, consistency, and accountability.
