Job summary
To ensure that all machinery and equipment in the factory are operating efficiently and safely. ResponsibilityTo conduct repairs, maintenance, welding and fabrication of equipment at factory to ensure smooth running of the production process.Perform safety checks and inspections on factory machines and equipment to ensure compliance with all the industrial regulations.To aid in machine operation and training on Standard Operating Procedures. To assist in the installation and assembling of new machinery and equipment.To prepare and maintain records of repairs and maintenance for all machines at the factory to aid in decision making.Any other roles added from time to time concerning departmental objectives. JOB DIMENSIONSGeographical scopeUganda QualificationsDiploma in mechanical engineering, welding or any other related field. Proven experience as a factory mechanic, and hands on experience with industrial machinery repairs, and mechanical systems is an added advantageExperience2-3 years’ experience in the same role.Proficiency in computer skills LanguagesProficiency in spoken and written English SPECIAL CONDITIONSThe role may require working in shifts depending on the factory’s production schedule ANY OTHER COMMENTSThe position requires the job holder to be proactive and self-driven to fulfil the company’s mission of providing clean air, clean water and clean energy to every household in Africa
