Datacom Product Manager

HUAWEI UGANDA is looking to hire Datacom Product Manager

Candidate will be responsible for the systematic planning of network solutions, guiding customer requirements, managing project execution, and driving digital marketing.

Responsibilities

Customer Requirement Guidance and Solution Design

• Deep understanding of datacom network architecture needs (e.g., SDN, SRv6, security compliance); develop customized solutions based on network analysis to influence customer technical decisions.

End-to-End Project Execution

• Pre-sales: Identify deployment sites and design tailored solutions.
• Execution Phase: Formulate competitive strategies and commercial pricing models.
• Implementation: Monitor the delivery process to ensure successful project execution.

Commercial and Profitability Management

• Design win-win business models; manage product pricing strategies and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with account teams to formulate pre-sales strategies and optimize contract terms to mitigate delivery risks.

Market Insight and Brand Influence Building

• Analyze industry trends, customer network evolution paths, and competitors to identify market opportunities for data communication products.
• Manage target network planning and budget guidance, driving the inclusion of solutions into the customer's long-term infrastructure roadmap.
• Plan and execute brand-building events, such as executive summits and technical seminars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Consulting
• Has solid knowledge of telecom networks, is familiar with datacom products and their structures and has certain experience in solution sales.
• Technical architectural understanding and business acumen, serving as a critical link between customers, R&D, and delivery teams
