AKSA is operating in manufacturing, technology development, marketing, and distribution fields in power generation and energy systems. Selling to 178 countries, the range of the company includes diesel generators, portable generators, marine generators, natural gas generators, control panels, soundproofed canopies, and lighting towers. The production zones are located in Turkey, China (the world’s largest power generator plant), the USA, and a trade and assembly center in the Netherlands to serve our European clients.


ABOUT THE POSITION

As AKSA Power Generation Kenya Office, we are looking for a Business Development Specialist who has strong experience in sales, marketing and business development processes in Uganda and also be able to work remotely under self contract.


WHAT WILL WE EXPECT FROM YOU (Qualification)

  • Residing in Uganda (Entebbe or Kampala) with no obstacle to work remotely.
  • Also be able to accept to work mostly in the field.
  • Having a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related faculties.
  • Must have advanced English knowledge level for speech and reporting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Power Generation Business
  • Be able to use MS Office programs, highly proficient in Excel.
  • Have no disability to travel to domestic and foreign offices at different times
  • Strong analytical approach and team player,
  • Ability to work up, down, and across an organization, process-oriented,
  • Excellent communication skills and high-level reporting skills
  • Should have a B-class driver's license and be able to drive actively,


WHAT WILL WE EXPECT FROM YOU (Qualification)

  • The main aim of the job is to carry out marketing and business development activities of the region and area which has been responsible by the related Aksa Abroad Office to establish a sustainable system that will increase sales and exports of Aksa products and services.
  • Able to work in the field area to improve market and sales share in the region in which that role is responsible
  • To follow the product diversity, developments, and changes of the rival companies abroad, the sectoral fairs and to conduct research by using other communication resources.
  • Institutionally; To work on product development, tracking of branding processes, brand extension, identity and image, and brand strategy.
  • To make a preliminary assessment of all communication activities related to the corporate brand in line with communication strategies and plans, to ensure that the works planned in this direction are carried out, finalized, followed up, and coordinated with the relevant units.
  • To contribute to the creation of the communication strategy of the corporate brand before the target audiences, to realize the strategic, target-oriented, and holistic management of the corporate brand communication.
  • Reporting the advertising, print / social media activities, and key business activities to country management.
  • To support and mostly be responsible for handzone operations to manage and carry out the direct sales operations.
  • Be able to carry out the customer relationship steps and process.
  • Ensuring that strategies to reduce risks are produced in order to reach the targeted market share.
  • Preparing and reporting statistical data by conducting sectoral research.
