Role Description The Business Development Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting the growth of Beyond Logistics Ltd’s 3PL services. Day-to-day tasks include researching potential markets, preparing proposals, conducting client meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to design tailored logistics solutions. The Business Development Officer will analyze performance data, prepare reports and forecasts, and support contract negotiations to ensure profitable and sustainable partnerships. The role also involves providing responsive customer service, gathering feedback, and contributing to marketing and sales initiatives that strengthen the company’s presence in the market.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong New Business Development skills, including lead generation, opportunity assessment, and relationship building.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a basic understanding of Finance to interpret performance data, support pricing decisions, and prepare business reports.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for presentations, proposals, stakeholder engagement, and internal collaboration.
• Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to manage client expectations, resolve issues, and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or sales management tools are beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet targets, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
