Biomedical technician

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

International Medical Group (IMG) is a group of companies that include IMG Pharmaceuticals (IMGP), International Hospital Kampala (IHK) among others with its head office at Namuwongo, Kampala. We are seeking a dynamic, creative and self-driven person to fill the role of Biomedical Technician.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

To oversee running of the Biomedical department, ensuring the efficient use of financial/ human resources, equipment and supplies therein.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.A good Bachelor’s of Science Degree and additional training in engineering, preferably biomedical

2.Above 5 years working experience in a similar field

3.Experience in use/ repair/ maintenance of medical equipment

4.Experience or ability to supervise a team and administrative processes

5.Good and demonstrable understanding of IMG philosophy, vision and strategy

6.Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills

7.Good and demonstrable leadership skills

8.Ability to communicate effectively with the team and to apply broader objectives at team level

9.Competency in resource budgeting and planning

10.Computer literacy especially MS Office

GENERAL PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1.Timely reports as required (weekly or monthly)

2.Team adherence to minimum working hours as per IMG policy i.e. 45 hours per week

3.Punctuality by all team members as per agreed shifts and rotas

4.Attendance of work by all team members

5.Efficient operation within agreed budgets

6.Response times for medical equipment/ supplies requirements

7.Duration of repair periods for broken/ damaged equipment

8.Performance/ usability of medical equipment
