Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biomedical Equipment Expert to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will oversee the evaluation, installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of medical and laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with international safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, calibrate, and maintain biomedical and laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair diagnostic and clinical instruments such as analyzers, centrifuges, incubators, spectrophotometers, and imaging devices.
- Support tender preparation by providing technical specifications and compliance documents.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and prepare maintenance schedules and service reports.
- Train end-users and support staff on safe operation and basic troubleshooting. •
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure warranty and spare parts management.
- Participate in equipment acceptance testing and validation.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, calibration logs, and service histories.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in medical or laboratory equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic, laboratory, and imaging systems (e.g., hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, centrifuges, autoclaves, refrigerators, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, installation, and preventive maintenance.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel for on-site service.
- Experience with government or donor-funded medical supply projects is an added advantage.
