Job summary
We are seeking a data-driven Veterinary Doctor to support a growing goat farm in Mpigi. This is not a visit-and-go role. The vet will be responsible for herd health, prevention planning, and real-time data entry and analysis using Google Forms and Google Sheets, working closely with the caretaker and farm manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine herd health checks (minimum two scheduled farm visits per month). Lead preventative health management, including parasite control, nutrition support, and disease prevention. Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, with clear follow-up recommendations. Enter all veterinary data in real time using Google Forms (no backlogged reporting). Maintain and update herd records, including births, deaths, weights, physiological status, and treatments. Upload formal visit reports (PDF) after each farm visit via the online system. Produce a monthly summary report covering herd health trends, mortality, treatments, and preventive actions. Actively review and analyze data in Google Sheets to support breeding, culling, and herd planning decisions. Monitor caretaker submissions and follow up on issues using the online system. Coordinate with the caretaker and helper to ensure veterinary instructions are implemented. Maintain high standards of accountability, documentation, and communication. Emergency interventions are handled separately as agreed. This role requires strong internet access and comfort working fully online.
