Assistant Lecturer - Department of Pharmacy

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1.    Teach, examine and grade students;

2.    Supervise research for students;

3.    Mentor junior staff;

4.    Conduct research and community outreach activities;

5.    Write proposals for attracting funding to the department;

6.    Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department

 Required Qualifications

1. Master's degree in any of the following: Master of Pharmacy in Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Master of Pharmacy in Industrial Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics or Master of Science in Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Master of Science in Industrial Pharmacy or Master of Science in Pharmaceutics or Master of Science in Cosmetics Science or Master of Cosmetics Science or Equivalents;
   
2. At least an upper second Bachelors degree of Pharmacy from a programme and University recognized / endorsed by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE);
   
3. A pharmacist, registered by the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU), and Ministry of Health.
