About Alowa
ALOWA, the All in One Women’s Association, is a prominent organization in Uganda dedicated to enhancing, promoting, and fostering the social, economic, cultural, and political well-being of women. Established in 2004, ALOWA's primary mandate is to achieve equality for all women in Uganda. ALOWA collaborates with partner organizations at local, national, and global levels to end discrimination against women.
The organization's mission is to empower women by engaging in the development and revision of legislation affecting them and involving them in programs promoting equal opportunities. ALOWA envisions communities where women have opportunities to develop their talents, participate in political processes, lead healthy lives, embrace their history and traditions, fulfill their responsibilities, and live in a society free of inequalities and discrimination.
ALOWA's core objectives include being the national voice for women in Uganda, addressing women's issues, promoting common goals, ensuring equal opportunities, serving as a resource, providing education, supporting women's groups, advocating for women's concerns, promoting women in leadership, and collaborating with organizations with similar goals.
The organization is guided by core values such as respect, love, bravery, humility, wisdom, honesty, integrity, trust, truth, and dignity. Join ALOWA in its mission to empower women and create a more equitable society for all.
