Role Description The Volunteer Video Editor role at Brewed Chats is a full-time hybrid position based in Kajjansi, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw video footage into clear, engaging content that supports counseling and personal development themes. The Video Editor will collaborate with counselors and content creators to refine storylines, add appropriate transitions, titles, and sound, and ensure visual consistency across all materials. Responsibilities also include organizing media assets, preparing videos for different platforms, and providing creative input on how to visually present key messages. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to impactful content that supports the emotional and personal growth of viewers.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing to handle end-to-end creation of video content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance the overall look and feel of footage.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging titles, lower thirds, and simple visual elements.
- Familiarity with common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and basic audio editing is beneficial.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to work with feedback in a collaborative environment are important.
- Interest in counseling, mental health, or individual development content, and commitment to handling sensitive topics respectfully, is highly valued.
- Reliable time management, ability to meet deadlines in a volunteer setting, and comfort working in a hybrid arrangement in Kajjansi are expected.
