Role Description The Team Lead Manager (Insurance) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala. This position is responsible for supervising and guiding an insurance sales and customer service team to meet performance targets and service standards. Day-to-day tasks include planning and allocating workloads, monitoring team KPIs, coaching team members, and providing regular performance feedback. The role involves reviewing and approving insurance proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and resolving escalated customer issues. The Team Lead Manager will collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, prepare reports, and contribute to process improvements that enhance customer experience and business growth.
Qualifications

• Strong Finance and Insurance skills, with an understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and basic financial concepts.
• Proven Team Management capabilities, including leadership, mentoring, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle escalations, maintain professionalism, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Solid Sales skills, including target setting, pipeline management, and the ability to drive team performance toward revenue goals.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the insurance sector and prior work in a supervisory or team lead role is highly beneficial.
