Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager ensures timely and accurate procurement, efficient production scheduling, and seamless shipping of Signalytic’s hardware systems. The role does not execute purchasing or inventory tasks directly, but is ultimately accountable for performance across these domains. It requires strong coordination, issue resolution, and communication skills to ensure delivery timelines are met and cross-functional alignment is maintained.

Job Description/Requirements
Reports To: CEO (with functional oversight from CFO on procurement approvals)
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Oversight
● Review and approve weekly procurement lists (initially generated by CFO; to be transitioned)
● Supervise the Purchasing & Inventory Associate to ensure timely sourcing, purchasing, and customs clearance
● Ensure the procurement process adheres to company standards, budget, and timeline
● Escalate procurement delays or supplier issues to executive leadership as needed
Production Coordination
● Create and manage weekly production schedules in collaboration with the assembly team
● Generate Work Orders in Odoo and track their progress through completion
● Identify and resolve scheduling or supply issues that may delay production
● Serve as point of escalation for assembly-related operational issues
Inventory & Warehouse Management
● Oversee all warehouse inventory processes, performed by the Purchasing & Inventory Associate
● Ensure inventory levels, spot checks, and warehouse movement are accurate and timely
● Ensure proper coordination between warehouse and production floor to avoid stockouts or bottlenecks
Outbound Logistics
● Lead and track the shipping of finished goods from warehouse to field locations
● Coordinate closely with the Deployment Director to ensure alignment between shipping
schedules and installation plans
● Ensure all shipment documentation is prepared and logistics providers are informed
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
● 5+ years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing coordination role
● Strong command of ERP systems, especially Odoo, and Microsoft Excel
● Demonstrated ability to lead operational workstreams across procurement, production, and logistics
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
● Experience with customs and import procedures in East Africa (esp. Uganda)
● Background in electronics or hardware assembly environments
● Familiarity with Alibaba or other digital sourcing tools
Tools & Systems
● Odoo (procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and shipping modules)
● Excel / Google Sheets
● Gmail, internal dashboards
